THAT’S THE PLAN? Biden’s Energy Secretary ‘Hopes’ Gas Prices Stay Below $4 Per Gallon

posted by Hannity Staff - 11.08.21

Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm deflected growing criticism of the Biden administration’s disastrous war on fossil fuels over the weekend; saying she “hopes” gas prices don’t rise to $4 per gallon.

“According to AAA, the national average of gas prices is now $3.42 a gallon. Bank of America is predicting crude oil prices could soar another 50 percent by next June. Could the average gas price in America be $4 a gallon in the United States soon?” “State of the Union” co-anchor Dana Bash asked Granholm on CNN.

“Well, we certainly hope not,” the Energy secretary fired-back.

“Of course, every president is frustrated because they can’t control the price of gasoline because it’s a global market. You can call upon increased supply, which he has done and OPEC is unfortunately controlling the agenda with respect to oil prices. OPEC is a cartel, and it controls over 50 percent of the supply of gasoline,” she added.

“We have the same problem in fuels that the supply chains have, which is that the oil and gas companies are not flipping the switch as quickly as the demand requires,” explained the Secretary.

ENERGY SECRETARY: Gas Prices Are Surging Because ‘Supplies Not as Robust as They Had Been’

posted by Hannity Staff - 10.29.21

Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm tried to spin record setting energy costs when speaking with CNN’s Jake Tapper Thursday; saying the high prices are a result of “supplies” not being as “robust as they had been.”

“In the US our natural gas supplies are okay. The prices, though, are high because they are not as robust — the supplies are not as robust, as they had been,” said the senior Biden official.

A price for a regular gallon of gasoline in Gorda, California topped $7.59 per gallon this week as the country’s economy continues to struggle with high inflation and supply chain problems.

“Gas keeps getting more and more expensive, especially in California. But perhaps nowhere is it pricier than the remote central coast community of Gorda. The town’s only gas station is offering regular unleaded for $7.59. Premium is nearly $8.50,” reports ABC Los Angeles.

The town is well known for high-gas prices. The station is the only available option for dozens of miles along the Big Sur coast.

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki dismissed growing criticism of high energy prices earlier this month.

“Certainly we all want to keep gasoline prices low, but the threat of the climate crisis certainly can’t wait any longer,” said Psaki.

The national price for a gallon of gasoline rose to $3.21 Wednesday, reaching a new high for 2021 after steadily increasing from $2.18 on Inauguration Day.

Experts predict the cost will likely reach $3.30 by the end of October.

HOW HILARIOUS: Energy Secretary Laughs When Asked About Gas Prices Hurting American Families

posted by Hannity Staff - 11.05.21

Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm erupted in laughter Friday when asked to comment on rising energy prices and the impact it’s having on American families from coast-to-coast.

“In Michigan it’s $2.89 a gallon. I guess that’s better than in California. What’s the Granholm plan to increase oil production in America?” asked a reporter from Bloomberg.

“That is hilarious! As you know oil is a global market. It’s controlled by a cartel. That cartel is called OPEC. They made the decision not to increase what they were already planning,” said Granholm.

Granholm tried to spin record setting energy costs when speaking with CNN’s Jake Tapper last week; saying the high prices are a result of “supplies” not being as “robust as they had been.”

“In the US our natural gas supplies are okay. The prices, though, are high because they are not as robust — the supplies are not as robust, as they had been,” said the senior Biden official.
