THANKS, DEMS! Trump Talks 'Unprecedented Opportunity' to Cut Government Bloat Amid Schumer Shutdown

Cuts incoming?

President Donald Trump said Thursday he is working to identify which “Democrat Agencies” will face cuts after Congress failed to reach a deal to keep the government open.

Posting on TRUTH Social, Trump said he would meet with Office of Management and Budget Director Russell Vought to review which agencies “are a political SCAM.” The president added that Vought would recommend whether cuts should be temporary or permanent.

“I can’t believe the Radical Left Democrats gave me this unprecedented opportunity,” Trump wrote. “They are not stupid people, so maybe this is their way of wanting to, quietly and quickly, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

The federal government slipped into a partial shutdown Wednesday after the midnight deadline passed without agreement on a funding bill. Trump has signaled his administration could make “irreversible” changes to the federal workforce, including fresh layoffs, while emphasizing that Republicans did not seek a shutdown but would seize on the chance to shrink government.

Vice President JD Vance, speaking Wednesday, accused Democrats of forcing the crisis to protect taxpayer-funded emergency health care for illegal immigrants, while claiming Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., was motivated by fear of a primary challenge from Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y.

“Chuck Schumer is terrified he’s going to get a primary challenge from AOC. The reason why the American people’s government is shut down is because Chuck Schumer is listening to the far-left radicals in his own party—because he’s terrified of a primary challenge,” Vance said.
