Recently released text messages between senior DOJ officials continue to shed new light on the stunning level of political bias throughout the Department of Justice, with new communications showing Peter Strzok discussed opening a mysterious “case” just hours after James Comey was fired from the FBI.
According to Fox News, “Text messages from disgraced FBI figures Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, discussing whether to open a ‘case’ in a ‘formal chargeable way’ after Director James Comey was fired, are under fresh scrutiny after Page told congressional investigators there was no evidence of Russian collusion at the time, according to three congressional sources.”
Just hours after Comey’s termination went public in May, Strzok texted Page “We need to open the case we’ve been waiting on now while Andy is acting.”
Andy is likely a reference to then-Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, who was fired from the bureau months later for leaking intelligence to the press.

'NOT HELPFUL': Secret Email Shows Strzok ‘WORRIED’ About Hillary Probe
Recently released emails show anti-Trump DOJ official Peter Strzok worried that former President Barack Obama’s public comments would impact the public’s perception of the ongoing Hillary email investigation.
According to Fox News, the communications show Strzok was highly concerned that the President’s statement was “not helpful” and warned the White House “there is a line they need to hold.”
“Below not helpful,” Strzok wrote to top FBI counterintelligence official. “Certainly the WH is going to do whatever it wants, but there is a line they need to hold with regard to the appearance of non-interference.”
The emails echo similar comments made in James Comey’s new tell-all book, where the former FBI chief claims Obama “jeopardized” the Hillary probe by making comments that caused many to question the administration’s role in the investigation.
“Contributing to this problem, regrettably, was President Obama. He had jeopardized the Department of Justice’s credibility in the investigation,” writes Comey.
CAPITOL CLASH: Peter Strzok to be ‘RECALLED FOR CONTEMPT’ After Fiery Testimony
House Judiciary Chairman Bob Goodlatte has reportedly informed anti-Trump FBI agent Peter Strzok he will be recalled to testify later Thursday and may be “voted in contempt” following his refusal to answer key questions surrounding his text messages.
According to Fox News, Goodlatte unveiled his decision after Strzok’s outright rejection of questions regarding his political bias during the 2016 race for the White House.
“Your testimony is essential to this hearing and to our oversight and information gathering functions with regard to the actions taken and decisions made by the Department of Justice and the FBI in 2016 and 2017. I am specifically directing you to answer the question in response to our subpoena,” Goodlatte said. “In a moment we will continue with the hearing but based on your refusal to answer the question, at the conclusion of the day, we will be recessing the hearing and you will subject to recall to allow the Committee to consider a contempt citation.”
“Mr. Strzok, you are under subpoena and required to answer the question,” Goodlatte added.
