Texas Senator Ted Cruz stopped by Hannity Tuesday night to blast Democrats for continuing to stake out radical positions on the border despite the overwhelming number of Americans who agree with President Trump’s actions.
Hannity asked Cruz why Rep. Jamies Raskin (D-MD) is calling for bringing back violent gang members deported by the Trump Administration.
“It is, unfortunately, where today’s Democrat Party is,” Cruz said. “They’ve gotten so radical and so extreme on border issues. We saw for four years under Joe Biden wide open border, 12 million illegals coming across the border. Every single day, another American was killed, another American was raped, another child was assaulted, and Joe Biden and the Democrats refused to do a thing about it.”
Cruz continued: “Even after the election, my Democrat colleagues seem to have learned nothing from the election. I was with you the night of President Trump’s State of the Union address and you and I both marveled at the Democrats sitting there stone-faced, refusing to applaud, refusing to stand.”
“They would not stand and support the victims of horrific crime by illegal aliens!”
“Yet they get all worked up that we got to bring back these gang members that have long criminal records,” Cruz added.
“Who in their right mind says, ‘You know what our community needs? More child rapists.'”
