T-MINUS 12: Bernie Says Earth Has ’12 Years' Left Before Climate Apocalypse

Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders doubled-down on the Democrats’ ‘Green New Deal’ Friday; telling The View that it’s impossible to go “too far” in combatting climate change and saying the “planet is at stake.”

“I will say that I’m embarrassed that we have a President that refuses to even acknowledge the reality of climate change. In my own personal opinion: If we do not get our act together and take on the fossil fuel industry… the planet that we are going to be leaving our grandchildren will become increasingly unhealthy,” said Sanders.

“The job we have to do is immediately grasp the magnitude of the problem and transform our energy system to change the planet… You cannot go too far on the issue of climate change,” he added. “We have 12 years to begin substantially cutting carbon emissions.”

BERNIE’S WARNING: Sanders Says Climate Change Similar to a ‘Devastating Military Attack’ Against the US

Vermont Senator and climate-change crusader Bernie Sanders doubled-down on his fiery rhetoric regarding global warming this week; directly comparing the international situation to a “military attack against the United States.”

“We must look at climate change as if it were a devastating military attack against the United States and the entire planet. And we must respond accordingly,” posted Sanders on social media.

Sanders’ fiery comments come as the self-described Democratic-Socialist and incoming Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez are poised to push their ‘Green New Deal’ project; new legislation that seeks to move the US economy away from fossil fuels and towards renewable energy sources.

CORTEZ: Renewable Energy Will Lead to ‘Economic, Social, Racial Justice’ in the USA

Incoming Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez continued to promote her ‘Green New Deal’ in Washington this week; bizarrely suggesting “transferring to renewable energy” will lead to “economic, social, and racial justice” throughout the United States.

Cortez was speaking alongside Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders and others during an event focused on her new energy initiative; saying the plan was “inevitable” and will create countless new jobs.

“It’s inevitable that we are going to create jobs. It’s inevitable that we’re going to create industry… And it’s inevitable that we can use the transition to 100% renewable energy as the vehicle to truly deliver and establish economic, social, and racial justice in the United States of America,” said Cortez.
