Congressman Adam Schiff doubled-down on his demands to remove President Trump from the White House this week; arguing Congress “cannot wait” to impeach the Commander-in-Chief just one day before lawmakers break for the Thanksgiving holiday recess.
“[Trump] has accepted or enlisted foreign nations to interfere in our upcoming elections, including the next one; this is an urgent matter that cannot wait if we are to protect the nation’s security and the integrity of our elections,” Schiff wrote in a memo to colleagues.
Schiff hinting at no delays on timeline:

Schiff’s comments come hours after another Democratic lawmaker backed-away from the party’s latest impeachment push.
“Michigan Democratic Rep. Brenda Lawrence, a prominent supporter of Kamala Harris who has previously supported the impeachment inquiry into President Trump, abruptly announced Sunday that she no longer saw any ‘value’ in the process and called for her fellow Democrats to throw their support behind a symbolic censure resolution,” reports Fox News.
“Lawrence’s about-face came as polls have shown that independents are souring on the idea of impeaching and removing Trump from office, including in critical battleground states like Wisconsin, even as House Democrats aggressively presented their focus-group-tested ‘bribery’ case against the president over the past two weeks,” adds Fox.
“I will tell you, sitting here knowing how divided this country is, I don’t see the value of taking him out of office. But I do see the value of putting down a marker saying his behavior is not acceptable. It’s in violation of the oath of office of a president of the United States, and we have to be clear that you cannot use your power of the presidency to withhold funds to get a foreign country to investigate an American citizen for your own personal gain. There’s no way around that,” said Lawrence.

GAETZ ON HANNITY: Schiff’s Dirty Tricks Can’t Change the Facts on Impeachment
Republican Congressman Matt Gaetz spoke with Sean Hannity Tuesday night on the Democrats’ public impeachment hearings; saying Adam Schiff’s “dirty tricks” simply can’t change the facts regarding President Trump and the Ukraine.
“It’s obvious to the American people that the Democrats can’t win a fair fight… So you see Democrats do everything they can to limit our ability to call witnesses, limit our ability to yield time,” said Gaetz.
“All of the dirty tricks from Adam Schiff’s bag of tricks can’t change the facts… There shouldn’t be an impeachment,” he added.

Denied Entry: Rep. Matt Gaetz ‘Kicked Out’ of Democrats’ Impeachment Hearing
GOP Rep. Matt Gaetz was abruptly removed from the Democrats’ ongoing impeachment hearing Monday after the Republican attempted to take-part in the House Intelligence Committee’s latest effort to remove President Trump from office.
“Gaetz, who sits on the House Judiciary Committee, attempted to attend the testimony of Fiona Hill, a former deputy assistant to the president, but was told that because he was not a member of the House Intelligence Committee that he had to leave. The House Intelligence, Oversight and Foreign Affairs committees are conducting the impeachment inquiry into Trump,” reports Fox News.
“It’s not like I’m on agriculture,” Gaetz said. “What are the Democrats so afraid of?”
“Judiciary Chairman [Jerry Nadler] claimed to have begun the impeachment inquiry weeks ago,” Gaetz tweeted. “Now, his own Judiciary members aren’t even allowed to participate in it. And yes – my constituents want me actively involved in stopping the #KangarooCourtCoup run by Shifty Schiff.”
