Everyone says they aren’t running — until they do.
Legendary ESPN host and best-selling author Stephen A. Smith stopped by Hannity Tuesday night to address recent comments he made about leaving the door open on a potential presidential run.
Stephen A., a registered Independent, is polling higher than most career Democrats.
“At the end of the day, here’s what it comes down to: I am a pundit, I am a commentator, I am a journalist by trade — these are the things I care about, and I care about having a voice, and I care about making an impact and making a difference, especially when it’s in the best interest of the United States of America,” Stephen A. said.
“The other side to it is, I’ve had other folks come up to me, including elected officials and others — including my own pastor — who looked at me and said, ‘Hey, show respect to people who believe in you, and respect you, and believe that you could do good for this country by at least leaving the door open. At least leave the door open,” Stephen A. added.
Hannity and Stephen A. also discuss whether or not the current Democratic Party would even allow a voice like Stephen A’s in the party.
“Absolutely not,” Stephen A. said, before blasting the party’s history of “eating their own” and sabotaging their own candidates.
