Texas Governor Greg Abbott continues to send migrant buses to the Big Apple.
According to a report from Fox News, 2 more migrant buses have arrived in New York City in an effort to raise awareness of the crisis at the southern border.
“Because of President Biden’s continued refusal to acknowledge the crisis caused by his open border policies, the State of Texas has had to take unprecedented action to keep our communities safe,” Abbott said Friday.
“You see New York, you see Washington kind of drowning with a few buses,” McAllen, Texas Mayor Javier Villalobos told Fox News. “We used to get over a thousand-something people a day.”
“The city of McAllen was able to deal with thousands of immigrants a day,” Villalobos said. “I think they can handle a few hundred.”
Governor Abbott appeared on a local NBC affiliate to discuss the border crisis; he shared the clip on Twitter.
“Biden’s dangerous open border policies have allowed a record number of illegal immigrants to enter America. As the federal government continues to turn a blind eye, Texas remains steadfast in our efforts to secure the border & keep Texans & Americans safe.”
