Ex-CNN host Don Lemon wasted no time running to the nearest microphone on Monday to get the most he could out of his recent revolting stunt: storming a church in Minnesota with anti-ICE protesters.
An act that the Trump DOJ promises will have repercussions.
In a Monday interview, Lemon described the churchgoers’ Christianity as distinct from his own, attributing criticism of his involvement to “white supremacy” and “entitlement” among white Christians, while claiming his identity as a gay Black man with a prominent platform made him a primary target.
“I said, how did I become the face of this? And my producers said, ‘Don, you’re a gay black man in America, and you have a platform, and you’re the biggest name, of course, you’re going to be the person that they single out.'”
