**HOUSE JUDICIARY COMMITTEE CHAIR NADLER OVERSEES HEARING SANS AG BARR

**SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE PELOSI CLAIMS THAT AG BARR HAS COMMITTED A CRIME

4:05 PM ET – Carter Page, former Trump campaign advisor and businessman gives us his perspective on the hearings yesterday before the Senate Judiciary Committee. The treatment of AG Barr was absolutely disgusting and the Senators who claim to be speaking for their constituents were purely grandstanding in the hopes of more TV times. Carter was recently interviewed by the Washington Examiner, and had this to say about the Mueller report:
…has written a foreword to an e-book version of the Mueller report, calling it “propaganda” and comparing his time in front of the Mueller grand jury to being at Guantanamo Bay.

Written in hyperbolic terms, Page compares the 448-page report put together by special counsel Robert Mueller, and lightly redacted by Attorney General William Barr, to the propaganda pushed by some of modern history’s worst dictators. And he blasts what he sees as a politically motivated “witch hunt” targeting himself and President Trump.

Venting his frustrations, Page wrote: “In Italy, Mussolini had his autobiography. In Libya, Gadhafi widely distributed his Green Book both to the masses, in the national media and even with featured quotes on billboards throughout the country. Iraq’s tyrannical Saddam Hussein wrote a series of novellas.” Benito Mussolini, Moammar Gadhafi, Saddam Hussein — and, according to Page, Robert Mueller.

4:35 PM ET – Jonathan Gilliam, Former FBI Agent, Federal Air Marshall, and author of Sheep No More and Danielle McLaughlin an Attorney & Constitutional Expert who co-wrote The Federalist Society: How Conservatives took the Law Back from Liberals debate and discuss the Barr hearings, and the Attorney General’s noticeable absence from the house judiciary hearings today. After the despicable comments by Rep. Nadler it’s not surprising.
In remarks to reporters Wednesday afternoon, Nadler said Democrats had “worked around the clock” to address Barr’s concerns, and slammed what he called Barr’s “lack of candor.”

“He’s trying to blackmail the committee into not following the most effective means of eliciting the information we need,” Nadler said. “He is terrified of having to face a skilled attorney.”

Nadler also said the DOJ had denied House Democrats’ request for the full and 5unredacted Mueller report, and said compliance with congressional subpoenas is “not optional.”

5:05 PM ET – John Solomon, Executive Vice President of The Hill is here with a breaking news story.

5:30 PM ET – Today is the National Day of Prayer, and President Trump celebrated this day by honoring the memory of those who were lost or injured during the attacks in the National Day of Prayer service in the White House’s Rose Garden. In attendance today Rabbi Yisroel Goldstein, who was wounded in the Saturday shooting at Chabad of Poway Synagogue in California. He accepted the White House’s invitation to Washington, D.C., for the National Day of Prayer. Goldstein addressed those in attendance in the Rose Garden for this day of prayer and remembered Lori Kaye, who put herself between the Rabbi and the shooter made the ultimate sacrifice. She was remembered by the President and Rabbi Goldstein today.
Oscar Stewart, the combat veteran who confronted the shooter and forced him to flee, and another source close to the rabbi confirmed to The Daily Caller News Foundation that Yisroel accepted the invitation and will be traveling to D.C. on Thursday.

Stewart and Jonathan Morales, the off-duty border patrol agent who engaged the shooter as he fled from Stewart, will accompany Yisroel to D.C., where the three will take part in a ceremony. opportunity to exhort people of faith to stand strong and unified in the face of evil, whether it manifests as anti-Semitism, or as attacks on churches, mosques, or any other places of worship.
