4:05 PM ET – Newt Gingrich, former Speaker of the House, author of Trump’s America: The Truth about Our Nation’s Great Comeback, his latest NY Times bestseller talks about the news of the day from the Mueller report we are all waiting for to the polls and ever broadening democratic race for President.

Democrats certainly have thin skin — they proved it with their decision to block Fox News from hosting one of their 12 upcoming presidential debates.

According to recent reports, the Democratic National Committee (DNC) barred the network from hosting any 2020 presidential primary debates, claiming it is too closely aligned with the president.

“Recent reporting in the New Yorker on the inappropriate relationship between President Trump, his administration and Fox News has led me to conclude that the network is not in a position to host a fair and neutral debate for our candidates,” said DNC Chairman Tom Perez. “Therefore, Fox News will not serve as a media partner for the 2020 Democratic primary debates.”

Considering that Trump won’t even be on the debate stage, the Democrats must be afraid that Fox News moderators would have asked their candidates difficult questions.

4:30 PM ET – Governor Kim Reynolds of Iowa, has been devastated by these terrible storms.

Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds toured four Iowa communities impacted by recent flooding from rain and melting snow.

Reynolds surveyed Glenwood, Pacific Junction, Hamburg, and Council Bluffs on Monday.

4:45PM ET – Governor Pete Ricketts of Nebraska, is also here to talk about the incredible tragedies caused by these floods. They are completely overwhelming the people of Nebraska.

About one-third of Offutt Air Force Base — including offices, hangars and nearly 3,000 feet of the base’s 11,700-foot runway — is underwater due to flooding from the Missouri River south of Omaha.

Spokeswoman Tech. Sgt. Rachelle Blake told the Omaha World-Herald that 60 buildings, mostly on the south end of the base, have been damaged, including about 30 that were completely inundated with as much as 8 feet of water.

5:05 PM ET – John McLaughlin, Pollster and Strategist, takes a look at the latest polls and the townhalls, from Gillibrand to Warren, and the mania surrounding Beto O’Rourke. Joining him is Retired Syndicated Columnist and Pollster, Matt Towery.

Beto O’Rourke raised more money than any other Democratic presidential candidate in the first 24 hours after announcing his 2020 bid, but we still don’t know some crucial details.

The Texas Democrat announced Monday that his campaign pulled in $6.1 million in online donations in the 24 hours after his announcement. By comparison, Sen. Bernie Sanders’s (I-VT) presidential campaign said it raised $5.9 million from more than 223,000 donors in the first 24 hours, and Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) raised $1.5 million in that time.

But O’Rourke’s campaign didn’t specify the number of contributors, nor did it denote an average donation. The first Federal Elections Commission official quarterly campaign finance filings won’t be public until April. Until then, there’s no way to drill into these numbers.
What we do know: The other Democrats in the race have definitely noticed O’Rourke’s fundraising push. With more than a dozen candidates in the Democratic presidential primary already, these early fundraising numbers remain one measure of frontrunner status.

On Monday, Sanders’s campaign sent out an email with the subject line: “Bad news: Beto outraised us. Good news: we probably had a lot more donations.” In other words, they’re acknowledging the size of O’Rourke’s haul — but they still don’t believe he has the support to back it up. (h/t Vox)
