4:05 PM ET – Gregg Jarrett, Fox News Legal Analyst and author of The Russia Hoax, which just came out in paperback on February 12th, talked about McCabe on page 291 of his book and addressed this very issue. From the NY Post today:
Andrew McCabe, the former acting director of the FBI, revealed in an interview that Justice Department officials grew so concerned with President Trump after he fired James Comey that they weighed recruiting cabinet members in an effort to remove him from office under the 25th Amendment.
McCabe also confirmed to CBS’ “60 Minutes” that he took Deputy General Rod Rosenstein’s offer to wear a wire when meeting with Trump in the White House so seriously that he discussed the idea with agency lawyers. (h/t New York Post)
President Trump on Thursday mocked Andrew McCabe after the former FBI deputy director revealed he opened a probe into whether Trump obstructed justice when the president fired James Comey as FBI chief in 2017 amid the Russia investigation.
In a string of morning tweets, Trump wrote that the “disgraced” McCabe “pretends to be a ‘poor little Angel’ when in fact he was a big part of the Crooked Hillary Scandal & the Russia Hoax” and “a puppet for Leakin’ James Comey.”
The president added that an internal watchdog report that was used to justify McCabe’s ouster was “devastating.”
The report found that McCabe had a “lack of candor” with investigators looking into FBI leaks about its probe into the Clinton Foundation during the 2016 presidential race.
“McCabe is a disgrace to the FBI and a disgrace to our Country. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!” the president wrote.
4:30 PM ET – Congressman Tom Graves of Georgia’s 14the district and Congressman McClintock of California’s 4th district, today they discuss the bill being presented to the President to remedy the pending shutdown worries and the funding for the border wall. Graves and McClintock also discuss the new left faction of the democrat party, vowing and supporting the new green deal and spewing anti-Semitic remarks in the House Chamber and on social media platforms. From an op-ed that McClintock wrote on the matter, and the tweet from the President that followed:
The term “crisis” is chronically overused by politicians, but the numbers behind the debate over the “border crisis” speak for themselves. Between 16 and 29 million people are now living in the United States illegally, costing American taxpayers more than $100 billion a year.
Sixty thousand more are now illegally crossing the southern border each month, an 86 percent increase over last year.
In 2017, illegal immigrants were convicted of murdering 1,800 Americans and violently assaulting 48,000 more. Not one of these crimes should have occurred because not one of these criminals should have been in the country to begin with.
5:05PM ET Jonathan Gilliam, Former FBI Agent, Federal Air Marshall, and author of Sheep No More and Danielle McLaughlin an Attorney & Constitutional Expert who co-wrote The Federalist Society: How Conservatives took the Law Back from Liberals, debate everything from the Green Deal being presented by Democrats to the treatment of angel families on the Hill and the upcoming push back for the liberals who attacked the Covington Catholic schools students. Their new attorney, Lin Wood will be holding them accountable for the unproven accusations they hurled at the children.
A January 25 press release issued by attorneys Wood and McMurtry stated,
On January 18, in the span of a few hours, Nick Sandmann’s peaceful attendance with his Covington Catholic classmates at the March for Life in Washington, D.C. was turned into a personal nightmare when Nick became the focus of false and defamatory accusations published and broadcast across the nation and the world. A mob comprised of activists, church and school officials, members of the mainstream print and broadcast media, and individuals on social media, including elected public officials and celebrities, rushed to condemn and vilify this young man by burying him in an avalanche of false accusations, false portrayals, and cyberbullying that have threatened his reputation and his physical safety.
Nick Sandmann is 16 years old. He is an eleventh-grade high school student. He is not the face of evil and he did absolutely nothing wrong or inappropriate in connection with the incident to deserve the heinous accusations made against him by uninformed or agenda-driven individuals and media entities.
The legal action by Sandmann’s attorneys is ramping up after notices demanding the preservation of evidence for possible defamation litigation were recently sent out to more than 50 media, dioceses, and celebrities
5:30 PM ET – Amy Kremer, Chairman of Women for Trump and CJaye of the Deplorable Choir, escorted angel families across the Capitol yesterday. They visited Pelosi’s office, and they were met by hostility and police. Concurrently another group arrived screaming F**k Trump, and they were allowed to stand there screaming expletives and letting their voices be heard. Amy and her group of grieving families were threatened with arrest and removal from the premises. The experience has shown these angel families that once again the value of their children lives taken too soon mean nothing to the Dems led by Speaker Pelosi.
Angel families stormed into House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s office again Wednesday with calls to secure the U.S. southern border, but they were turned away yet again.
Americans whose loved ones have been killed by illegal aliens flooded into the office with questions as to why their many requests for meetings with the Speaker went unanswered. Front office staff had little to offer in the way of an answer and wouldn’t give an idea of when so much as an aide would be available to meet with the families. (h/t Breitbart)
