Trump-hating comedian Kathy Griffin continues to blame the Commander-in-Chief for her career nosedive following her months-long public feud with the President, saying she can’t tour the United States “without getting shot.”
Speaking with Politico, the liberal comic unloaded on President Trump for attacking her on social media following the infamous, gruesome photo-shoot featuring Trump’s “severed head,” adding his tweet was “literally breaking news on every channel.”
“The photo was on TMZ, then Drudge tweeted it, and then Don Jr. retweeted Drudge,” Griffin said. “But the president’s Twitter feed is the greatest programming director ever. The minute he tweeted that tweet about me, it was literally breaking news on every channel.”
“There are millions of people who think I’m a member of ISIS to this day,” she added. “I wish I could tour in the U.S. without getting shot — I know I can’t. I was in the middle of a 50-city tour when the tweet happened. It was canceled in 24 hours.”
Griffin’s career took a direct hit following the gory photo-shoot. The comic lost her yearly gig as host of CNN’s New Year’s Eve coverage in Times Square, and was forced to cancel a nationwide tour over the controversy.
GRIFFIN DOWN: Kathy Griffin COLLAPSES on Stage During Comedy Show
Trump-hating comedian Kathy Griffin reportedly fainted during her live comedy show while performing in Dublin, Ireland this week; fueling speculation about the liberal comic’s health after a year of scandals and career setbacks.
According to Fox News, the 57-year-old comedian passed-out near the end of her nearly two-hour long show, telling the audience “I’m going down” before collapsing. Griffin’s longtime boyfriend rushed onto the stage and carried her off.
“I’m embarrassed more than anything. This one’s for you, Wendy Williams. Girl down. I had a girl-down moment,” she joked on social media, referring to Williams’ own on-air collapse late last month. “Anyway, the audience was fantastic, and thank you for being forgiving and understanding.”
“I promise to be upright the entire show next time,” she added.
Kathy Griffin made national headlines earlier this year when she posted images of herself holding Donald Trump’s “severed head” during a tasteless photoshoot widely condemned on both sides of the aisle.
The ensuing controversy cost the comedian an entire comedy tour, as well as her yearly gig as co-host of CNN’s New Year’s coverage.

SHE'S BACK: Kathy Griffin Lashes Out at President Trump, Again
Comedian Kathy Griffin raised eyebrows again over the weekend, lashing-out at President Donald Trump and asking why she should continue to apologize to the Commander-in-Chief; adding “I’m a comedian, he’s our f***ing President.”
Griffin was speaking with New York Magazine’s Yashar Ali when she made the incendiary comments, asking why she should continue to “apologize and grovel” to the President following her disgusting photoshoot earlier this year where she appeared to be holding Donald Trump’s severed head.
“Why are people still expecting me to apologize and grovel to a man that tweets like this?” Griffin told the journalist. “I’m a comedian; he’s our f***ing president.”
“President Trump just pardoned Joe Arpaio, who was essentially running a concentration camp in the Arizona desert,” she added. “He said there are some good Nazis, and he’s kicking out young adults who were brought here as kids by their parents, and I’m the one who has to continue to apologize?”
Griffin’s gory photoshoot and outspoken reaction was harshly criticized by both liberals and conservatives, and cost the comedian her yearly job as host of CNN’s New Year’s Eve coverage.
“OBVIOUSLY, I do not condone ANY violence by my fans or others to anyone, ever! I’m merely mocking the Mocker in Chief,” said Griffin in the immediate aftermath of the photoshoot.
