Rep. Steve Scalise slammed his Democratic colleagues on the House floor Friday; saying liberal lawmakers routinely “prioritize illegal immigrants” at the expense of American citizens on a daily basis.
“We’ve watched Democrats prioritize illegal immigrants over American citizens for a while now. But today they took it a step further by blocking our motion to prevent illegal immigrants from voting in elections—effectively devaluing the vote of legitimate voters,” said Scalise.

Steve Scalise was viciously targeted by Rep. Rashida Tlaib this week; being accused of ‘Islamophobia” after he criticized Rep. Ilhan Omar’s vicious anti-Semitic rhetoric.
SCALISE: Democrats Continuing Their ‘Witch Hunt’ Against Trump to ‘Appease Their Base’
Rep. Steve Scalise unloaded on the Democrats’ never-ending “witch hunt” against the President this week; saying they’re simply trying to “appease their base” and have no interest in finding the facts.
"They don't want to get the facts," Scalise said. "Their endgame is to impeach the president whether or not the facts add up. This is beyond a witch hunt." pic.twitter.com/s3q6nFQ39W

“What you’re seeing on full display is the laying of the foundation to impeach the President by the Democrats. They don’t want to get the facts, they first want to know what their endgame is. Their endgame is to impeach the President whether or not the facts back them up,” said Scalise.
“This is beyond a witch hunt. This was all supposed to be about collusion with Russia. There’s been no collusion found… They’re trying to find any excuse to appease their base who wants the President impeached,” he added.
SCALISE: Democrats' ‘Call for Violence’ a DIRECT Threat to Democracy
Rep. Steve Scalise urged his congressional Democratic colleagues to tone-down their outrageous calls for violence Thursday; warning the protests and confrontations with GOP politicians across the country pose a “direct threat” to American democracy.
Scalise -who was critically injured when a lone gunman opened fire during a congressional baseball practice- called-out Rep. Maxine Waters and former Attorney General Eric Holder for inciting “anger, harassment, and violence.”
“Despite the continued reports of politically motivated threats or violence, Democratic Party leaders have worked to keep this anger burning and incite even more harassment and violence,” writes Scalise.
“Beginning with my own near-death experience at the hands of a deranged shooter who sought to assassinate a baseball field of Republicans, there is a growing list of violent or threatening actions taken against conservatives by Democrats,” he adds.
“If this is going to stop, it must start with Democratic leaders, who need to condemn, rather than promote these dangerous calls to action,” Scalise says.
