A clip of a male Disney Land employee in a dress welcoming children to the “Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique” has gone viral after one parent posted the interaction on TikTok.
The park employee, named Nick, is a”Fairy Godmother apprentice” and guides children through the dress store at the theme park.
“So my name is Nick, I am one of the fairy godmother’s apprentices,” the employee says to the children in the video while wearing a blue dress with heavy blue eyeshadow. “I’m here to shop you around and make all your selections for the day.”

From Fox News:
Cast members at Disney’s Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique were previously called “Fairy Godmothers in Training” before the theme park updated the title to “Fairy Godmother’s Apprentices” to be more gender-neutral.
The video quickly went viral on Twitter with mixed reactions.
“Think how many real girls want that job at Disney and they gave it to him for a reason…” Dave Rubin, the host of the “Rubin Report” tweeted.
Brandon Morse, a senior editor at Red State, tweeted, “May you never suffer the same destruction of your legacy that poor Walt has.”
Sara Gonzales, host of The News and Why It Matters onBlazeTV, told her followers to “stop taking your family to Disney.”
Writer Avi Woolf called the costume “harmless,” adding that it “looks silly to any kid.”
“Stop seeing enemies everywhere, we have enough real ones,” he said.
Disney Parks updated its uniform policy in 2021 to be more inclusive.
“We want our guests to see their own backgrounds and traditions reflected in the stories, experiences and products they encounter in their interactions with Disney,” a Disney official said in a statement at the time. “And we want our cast members — and future cast members — to feel a sense of belonging at work.”
“Inclusion is essential to our culture and leads us forward as we continue to realize our rich legacy of engaging storytelling, exceptional service, and Disney magic,” the statement continued.
“Our new approach provides greater flexibility with respect to forms of personal expression surrounding gender-inclusive hairstyles, jewelry, nail styles, and costume choices; and allowing appropriate visible tattoos. We’re updating them to not only remain relevant in today’s workplace, but also enable our cast members to better express their cultures and individuality at work.”
