Are the LA riot reactions costing Dems the midterms?
Legendary ESPN host Stephen A. Smith issued a stark warning to Democrats over the party’s reaction to the LA riots this week: keep it up, and lose the midterms.
Prominent Democrat Party voices like Kamala Harris, Hillary Clinton, Gavin Newsom, Adam Schiff, Cory Booker, and more have condemned President Trump for sending in the National Guard to quell anti-ICE riots and restore law and order.
Meanwhile, nearly all Democrats (with the exception of John Fetterman) have failed to condemn the violent rioters, instead turning their ire toward President Trump.
Stephen A. says the donkey party is just giving the GOP ammo.
“The next thing Republicans are gonna say is, ‘You know, they’re for lawlessness, right?’ They’re going to show these images. They’re gonna say, ‘They’re for lawlessness.’ Folks are going to buy it hook, line, and sinker — and their issues of safety are going to usurp any other concerns they have,” Stephen A. said this week.
“And before you know it, Dems are going to lose the midterms. They’re not gonna regain any seats in the House or the Senate. And Trump will be able to operate with relative impunity to 2028.”
