HHS nominee RFK Jr. is on the Hill Wednesday for his confirmation hearing before the Senate Finance Committee. Kennedy delivered a strong opening statement, stressing that he is not anti-vaccine and addressed the importance of tackling the chronic disease epidemic.
“Our country will sink beneath a sea of desperation and debt if we don’t change the course and ask, why are health care costs so high in the first place? The obvious answer is chronic disease,” Kennedy said.
Kennedy also shared that he has prayed for 20 years to be in a position to end the chronic disease epidemic.
“The first thing I’ve done every morning for the past 20 years – is get on my knees and pray to God that He would put me in a position to end the chronic disease epidemic and to help America’s children.”
