REPORT: Rashida Tlaib, Ilhan Omar Host Ramadan Feast for the First Time in US History at the Capitol

posted by Hannity Staff - 5.21.19

Representatives Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar made history late Monday evening; hosting an end-of-day Ramadan feast inside the United States Capitol for the first time in American history.

“On this night, halfway through the month-long holiday of Ramadan, Omar enjoyed a buffet of food as she and two other Muslim members of Congress hosted some fellow members for a traditional Ramadan meal,” reports the Washington Post.

“The congressional iftar, hosted at the Capitol, was a night for Omar (D-Minn.), Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) and Rep. André Carson (D-Ind.) to explain their faith to their colleagues. Of course a break-the-fast meal in the halls of Congress included a hefty serving of politics alongside the naan and kebabs,” adds the newspaper.

The three Congresswoman invited 100 guests including fellow lawmakers, their friends, and families.

Ilhan Omar routinely criticizes President Trump and his administration for their tough policies on illegal immigration; commonly referring to the Commander-in-Chief as a “racist.”

“This is a president who has come to power vilifying and demonizing immigrants and refugees. He proudly said we should halt Muslims from entering our country,” tweeted Omar. “It’s not a surprise that he finds his biggest nemesis in me.”

The President has routinely critiqued Omar’s anti-Semitic and anti-Israeli rhetoric; saying she has “hatred deep in her heart” after claiming American politicians were secretly bribed by pro-Israeli organizations.

BACKLASH BUILDS: Ilhan Omar Refers to 9/11 Terror Attacks as ‘Some People’ Who ‘Did Something’

posted by Hannity Staff - 4.10.19

Rep. Ilhan Omar found herself at the center of another national controversy this week after footage emerged of the freshman Democrat referring to the devastating 9/11 terror attacks as “some people” who “did something.”

“CAIR was founded after 9/11 because they recognize that some people did something and that all of us were starting to lose access to our civil liberties,” said Omar while speaking with supporters.

“First Member of Congress to ever describe terrorists who killed thousands of Americans on 9/11 as ‘some people who did something,’” wrote Rep. Dan Crenshaw on social media.

BAD COMPANY: Farrakhan Defends Ilhan Omar’s Anti-Semitic Rant, Rails Against ‘Wicked Jews’

posted by Hannity Staff - 2.18.19

Nation of Islam leader and notorious anti-Semite Louis Farrakhan publicly praised embattled Rep. Ilhan Omar Sunday; saying she “has nothing to apologize for” after promoting vicious stereotypes on social media.

“The wicked Jews want to use me to break up the women’s movement,” Farrakhan said during his annual Saviours’ Day event. “It ain’t about Farrakhan; it’s about women all over the world [who] have the power to change the world.”

Farrakhan then defended Omar’s twitter tirade; saying “Ms. Omar from Somalia – she started talking about ‘the Benjamins’ and they are trying to make her apologize. Sweetheart, don’t do that. Pardon me for calling you sweetheart, but you do have a sweet heart. You sure are using it to shake the government up, but you have nothing to apologize for,” Farrakhan said. “Israel and AIPAC pays off senators and congressmen to do their bidding, so you’re not lying, so if you’re not lying. Stop laying down. You were sent there by the people to shake up that corrupt House.”
