Upwards of 800 soldiers will soon be deployed to the United States’ southern border with Mexico, with US officials telling Fox News they will join thousands of National Guard members already operating in the region.
According to Fox, “Hundreds of U.S. troops are set to make their way to the southern border to help Homeland Security and the National Guard as a caravan with thousands of migrants pushes north with the goal of crossing into America, a U.S. official confirmed to Fox News on Thursday.”
The troops will provide “logistical support” for federal authorities patrolling the region; including vehicles and additional equipment.

Brandon Judd of the National Border Patrol Council is right when he says on @foxandfriends that the Democrat inspired laws make it tough for us to stop people at the Border. MUST BE CHANDED, but I am bringing out the military for this National Emergency. They will be stopped!

CARAVAN CRISIS: Migrant Caravan Swells to 14,000, Heads Towards USA
The migrant caravan slowly making its way towards the United States’ southern border with Mexico continued to grow in recent days, with local reporters saying the marching immigrants are now estimated at 14,000 individuals.
According to Newsweek, the “caravan” is gradually gaining more members as it makes its way north towards American border crossings in Texas and California.
“In a series of tweets, President Donald Trump has unsuccessfully urged Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador to halt the migrant caravan, which is believed to have reached more than 14,000 members in southern Mexico,” writes Newsweek.
The President has routinely warned the migrants to return to their home countries in recent days, saying “We are a great Sovereign Nation. We have Strong Borders and will never accept people coming into our Country illegally!”

President Donald Trump warned Honduras Tuesday that his administration is prepared to cut aid to the Central American country should they fail to crack down on a second migrant caravan making its way towards the United States’ southern border.
“The United States has strongly informed the President of Honduras that if the large Caravan of people heading to the U.S. is not stopped and brought back to Honduras, no more money or aid will be given to Honduras, effective immediately!” tweeted the President.

The second caravan this year reached 3,000 migrants and continued to grow as more workers joined fellow asylum seekers along the Honduras-Guatemala border.
“The impoverished nations of Central America, from which thousands of migrants have fled in recent years, are under mounting pressure from Trump’s administration to do more to curb mass migration,” reports Reuters.
