REPORT: Former General Counsel at FBI ‘Under Investigation’ for Leaks to Media

posted by Hannity Staff - 1.15.19

The former top lawyer at the FBI is currently “under investigation” for intentionally leaking material to the media, confirmed Rep. Jim Jordan and Rep. Mark Meadows Tuesday.

“The letter from GOP Reps. Jim Jordan and Mark Meadows cited the transcript of a congressional interview with former General Counsel James Baker and his lawyer last fall, where the probe conducted by seasoned U.S. Attorney John Durham was confirmed,” reports Fox News.

“You may or may not know, [Baker has] been the subject of a leak investigation … a criminal leak investigation that’s still active at the Justice Department,” lawyer Daniel Levin told lawmakers

“As we continue our oversight and investigative work, we felt it prudent to write to you seeking an update. Without being apprised of the contours of your leak investigation and Baker’s role, we run the risk of inadvertently interfering with your prosecutorial plans,” write Jordan and Meadows.

ADAM’S ADMISSION: Schiff Memo ACTUALLY CONFIRMS FBI’s Misuse of ‘Trump Dossier’

posted by Hannity Staff - 2.26.18

Ranking Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee Adam Schiff released his highly-anticipated “rebuttal” to Rep. Devin Nunes’ bombshell FISA report over the weekend; inadvertently confirming the FBI’s use of the ‘Trump Dossier’ to obtain surveillance warrants.

According to former assistant US attorney Andrew McCarthy, Schiff’s report details the bureau’s use of Christopher Steele’s shady dossier to obtain FISA warrants against the Trump campaign, saying the Democrat “rebuttal” shows the “FBI and Justice Department heavily relied on the Steel Dossier’s uncorroborated allegations.”

“You know this is true because, notwithstanding the claim that ‘only narrow use’ was made ‘of information from Steele’s sources,’ the Democrats end up acknowledging that ‘only narrow use’ actually means significant use,” writes McCarthy in the National Review.

Schiff’s memo comes weeks after Nunes released his four-page bombshell report that raised serious questions over how the DOJ used the Clinton-financed Trump dossier to obtain FISA warrants against at least one Trump associate.

Congressional leaders -such as Sen. Chuck Grassley- have vowed to get to the bottom of whether former Obama officials used the shady document to illegally spy on the Trump campaign ahead of the 2016 election.

CLINTON COLLUSION: Texts Show FBI Agents ‘PULLED PUNCHES’ in Hillary’s Email Probe

posted by Hannity Staff - 1.26.18

Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee Chuck Grassley sent a scathing letter to FBI Director Christopher Wray Thursday, demanding answers after newly released texts show the bureau was “pulling punches” from Hillary Clinton’s email probe as early as February 2016.

Grassley’s fired-off the incendiary memo to the FBI chief after the Department of Justice magically found five months’ worth of text messages exchanged between anti-Trump agent Peter Strzok and DOJ lawyer Lisa Page.

One particular message stunningly suggests that the agency was going easy on the former Secretary of State; saying the FBI was aware that she would likely “be our next President” and would “remember” those involved in the investigation of her use of a private email server to handle classified material.

“One more thing: she might be our next president. The last thing you need us going in there loaded for bear. You think she’s going to remember or care that it was more doj than fbi?” asked Page on February 25, 2016.

“Agreed,” replied Strzok. “I called Bill and relayed what we discussed. He agrees. I will email you and [redacted] same.”

According to the Daily Caller, “Bill” is most likely a reference to Bill Priestap, the FBI’s head of counter-intelligence.

“Has the FBI performed any voluntary searches of Strzok or Page’s non-government phones or email accounts to determine whether federal records exist? Please explain why or why not?” asked Grassley.
