Chuck Todd took a moment on Meet The Press Daily to consult the ol’ “Midterm Meter: Direction of Country” poll —and it’s not looking good for Democrats. Even Todd has to admit it looks like Pelosi & Co. are headed for a “shellacking.” 71% of the Unites States says the country is on the wrong track.

“So, where are we right now? Well, let’s take a look. The current wrong track on our poll is at 71%…third straight poll where the direction of country has been above 70%…65% is a bad number —71%, that’s why it’s in the ‘shellacking’ category.”
