During Wednesday’s White House press briefing, press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was asked about a lunch President Joe Biden reportedly had with “scholars and historians” this week to discuss ongoing threats to Democracy.
“Is there a list of the scholars and historians that the press office said he had lunch with today?” one reporter asked KJP.
She could not name one scholar or historian and did not provide a list.
“I don’t have a list to share at this time…the President met with, or had lunch, with a group of scholars and historians to discuss ongoing threats to our Democracy here and also abroad,” KJP said before claiming that it’s common —especially leading up to the anniversary of January 6.
