“He’s doing what he promised.”
CNN senior data analyst Harry Enten reviewed recent polling on Tuesday, showing President Trump’s favorability remains strong, despite a government shutdown and immigration tensions in some of the nation’s largest cities.
“As far as the American people are concerned, Trump could be better known as ‘Steady Eddy,'” Enten said while reviewing recent data. “Favorable view of Donald Trump — you go back to October 2024, 44% of the American public viewed him favorably. Now, despite everything, look at this: 43% — which is well within the margin of error.”
Enten said that was good enough to get him elected back in 2024.
“Donald Trump is who the voters thought he was,” Enten added. “The majority of Americans say Donald Trump is doing what he promised.”
“Trump is basically doing what the American people thought he was going to do.”
Watch the clip below:
To paraphrase Dennis Green, Trump is who voters thought he was. The majority (52%) say he has done what he promised to do.
His favorable rating is basically the same as it was a year ago (just before he won re-election).
