Pro-Abortion Protestors March At Justice Amy Coney Barrett’s Home

Pro-choice protesters descend on Coney Barrett's home with blood and doll props

posted by Hannity Staff - 6.20.22

As reported by The Daily Wire, two dozen or so young women gathered in front of or near the home of Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett to express their disapproval of Barrett’s expected vote in the forthcoming case Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization. The Dobbs case originated in Mississippi. As indicated in a leaked draft of the Dobbs opinion, a 6-3 majority of the Supreme Court signed on to Justice Alito’s opinion overturning Roe. If that draft ruling becomes the official ruling of the Supreme Court, the consequence is that each state will be allowed to decide its own abortion laws. The Roe v. Wade decision had determined that access to abortion was a constitutional right.

Expressing their displeasure with the court’s potential overturn of Roe v. Wade, the pro-abortion protestors marched in front of Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett’s home on Saturday wearing loose white pants, seemingly like workout pants, drenched in the crotch area with a stain from a red liquid that was intended to represent blood. Many of the young women had their wrists shackled together with tape and carried toy dolls. Several had tape over their mouths.  The Saturday action adds to a series of protests at the residences of conservative Supreme Court justices. See videos embedded in the Daily Wire post. The home of Justice Barrett was not shown

One young protestor, identified as 15 year-old Ariana who organized the baby doll procession, yelled: “We aren’t incubators!” The target of this messaging was clearly identified. “We aren’t protesting to change the minds of women-hating fascists. We’re calling on the pro-choice majority, on YOU, to get in the streets to STOP #SCOTUS from overturning Roe.” Twitter messages from an account name “Rise Up 4 Abortion Rights” posted along with a video of the protest.

In one of the embedded videos, a protestor responds to questions from an off-camera interviewer. “I feel terrified!” the young woman exclaims. “This is a terrifying image of what America is going to look like. This is a terrifying visual that children are forced to giving birth to children.” The woman did not explain how children were being forced to give birth to children. Another protesting woman stated: “I also feel powerful.” She didn’t explain the source of her feeling of empowerment.

Ariana added: “Women will be inferior! ALL OF U WHO ARE PRO CHOICE. Come to DC & stay!” she declared in another post by the group. See”#RiseUp4AbortionRights. The collection of women chanted “Rise up for abortion rights!” while carrying signs that stated “without apology.”

The Daily Wire reported that the demonstration occurred just two days after President Joe Biden signed a bill to expand security protection for Supreme Court justices and their family members on Thursday. The bill passed 396-27 on Tuesday, with all 27 votes opposing the legislation coming from Democrats. The bill passed unanimously in the Senate.

The protest was in addition to a June 9 protest at Coney Barrett’s home, just one day after authorities arrested a man near Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s residence for attempted murder.

“U.S. Deputy Marshals reported seeing a person dressed in black clothing, and carrying a backpack and suitcase, get out of a taxi that stopped in front of a current justice’s house at roughly 1:05 a.m., according to an affidavit,” CBS News reported.

The unprecedented leak has led to protests at the homes of other conservative justices. In addition, pro-life centers and houses of worship have been vandalized and attacked following the leak, with many of the incidents claimed by a pro-abortion group called Jane’s Revenge.

“We will never stop, back down, slow down, or retreat. We did not want this; but it is upon us, and so we must deal with it proportionally. We exist in confluence and solidarity with all others in the struggle for complete liberation,” members of Jane’s Revenge said in a letter last week. Evidently, murdering a Supreme Court Justice is illustrative of dealing with their dissatisfaction “proportionally.”
