Video from the scene shows Kirk jerking back and clutching his neck as a shot rang out, though the extent of his injuries remains unconfirmed.
The incident unfolded as Kirk was hosting a Q&A session under a pop-up tent on campus, sparking chaos and sending thousands of spectators fleeing in panic, according to social media posts.
