POLL: Trump Support SURGES in ‘Purple’ Georgia, Impeachment Drops in Recent Days

posted by Hannity Staff - 12.17.19

A new Towery Survey of 1000 voters in Georgia conducted over the weekend shows a surge in the number of residents supporting President Trump.

The survey, provided exclusively for The Sean Hannity Show, was conducted using the same methodology that Matt Towery used in 2016 to project that Trump would defeat Hillary Clinton for president.

The Georgia results in the new December poll show a substantial increase in job approval for President Trump in this, the nation’s eighth-largest state, as compared to the findings of a similar Atlanta Journal- Constitution/University of Georgia survey released Nov. 12th.

Poll Results

Trump Job Performance:

Approve: 52% Disapprove: 42% Undecided: 6%

Impeachment:

Support Impeachment: 13% Support Removal: 33% Oppose impeachment: 50% Undecided: 4%

“My survey indicates that the impeachment effort by congressional Democrats is likely having an unintended yet forceful impact on voter approval for President Trump. Namely, it’s driving approval ratings for the president much higher,” said Matt Towery.

“We can see the driving force in this increase in job approval by comparing the support for what was five weeks ago an impeachment inquiry and support for Trump’s removal from office. Approval for the impeachment inquiry in November was 54 percent in Georgia, with 44 percent against,” he added.

'FANTASYLAND': McConnell Says It’s ‘Inconceivable’ 67 Senators Will Vote to Remove Trump

posted by Hannity Staff - 11.19.19

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell threw more cold-water on the Democrats’ impeachment frenzy Tuesday; saying “it’s inconceivable” that 67 Senators will vote to remove President Trump from office.

“It’s inconceivable to me that it would be 67 votes to remove the president from office,” McConnell told reporters during the third day of the public impeachment inquiry.

McConnell made similar comments last week.

“I can’t imagine a scenario under which President Trump would be removed from office with 67 votes in the Senate,” McConnell told USA Today.

“Nothing is happening because House Democrats seized with Trump derangement syndrome are consumed with this argument with the president,” he said.

McConnell made similar comments last week; telling reporters “I will say I’m pretty sure how it’s likely to end. If it were today, I don’t think there’s any question it would not lead to a removal.”

Meanwhile, House Democrats refuse to commit to a formal timeline of their investigation into the President’s dealings with Ukraine.

“I haven’t had a lot of time to pay attention to the president’s tweets and the legal implications of them. I just think that was totally wrong and inappropriate and typical of the president,” Pelosi told CBS News.

“I have no idea,” she responded when asked if the process could drag-on into 2020.

BREAKING: McConnell ‘Shoots Down’ Schumer’s Demands on Senate Impeachment Rules

posted by Hannity Staff - 12.17.19

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell rejected an initial offer from Sen. Chuck Schumer Tuesday regarding his requests for a potential impeachment trial in the Senate; calling his proposal a “fishing expedition.”

“The Senate Democratic leader would apparently like our chamber to do House Democrats’ homework for them. He wants to volunteer the Senate’s time and energy on a fishing expedition,” McConnell said.

“McConnell’s comments are the first time he’s responded to Schumer’s offer, sent on Sunday night, which outlined Democrats’ opening proposal on how to handle the Senate’s looming impeachment trial,” reports The Hill.

“The preferable path would have been an in-person conversation, which none the less, I still hope to pursue,” McConnell added.

“The Democratic leader wants to write a completely new set of rules for President Trump,” said the Senate Leader. “The same process that Senator Schumer though was good enough for President Clinton he doesn’t want to afford President Trump, go figure.”
