PEN PROBE: AG Pam Bondi Confirms DOJ Reviewing Biden Admin's Use of Autopen

The investigation into the autopen controversy surrounding former President Joe Biden is gaining traction in both Delaware and Washington, D.C., Fox News has learned.

A source close to the case told Fox Wednesday, “It looks like the investigation has heated up in recent weeks and it appears there’s a focus in Delaware as well as Washington, D.C.”

The renewed interest came just as Attorney General Pam Bondi revealed her office is reviewing the Biden administration’s use of the autopen — a mechanical signature device — for official pardons.

“My team has already initiated a review of the Biden administration’s reported use of autopen for pardons,” Bondi wrote on X.

The revelation landed hours after the House Oversight Committee dropped a 100-page bombshell report detailing its probe into Biden’s White House — specifically, whether his inner circle covered up signs of mental decline and whether that alleged cover-up extended to executive actions signed by autopen without Biden’s full awareness.

The report described a “haphazard documentation process” for Biden’s pardons, suggesting it left major doubts about whether he made those decisions himself.

“In the absence of sufficient contemporaneous documentation indicating that cognitively deteriorating President Biden himself made a given executive decision, such decisions do not carry the force of law and should be considered void,” the GOP report stated.

The Biden camp hit back fast.

“This investigation into baseless claims has confirmed what has been clear from the start: President Biden made the decisions of his presidency. There was no conspiracy, no cover-up, and no wrongdoing,” a Biden spokesperson told Fox News Digital Tuesday morning.

“Congressional Republicans should stop focusing on political retribution and instead work to end the government shutdown.”

With probes now intensifying on two fronts, the autopen scandal is shaping up to be a signature controversy all its own.

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer told Fox News’ Maria Bartiromo that Biden’s executive orders could be “null and void.”
