Former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi bailed on a “highly-anticipated” protest against the GOP tax cuts making their way through Congress on Monday, ditching the event at the last minute after only dozens of liberal demonstrators turned up at the event inside the Capitol.
A reporter for left-leaning MSNBC news was on the scene to cover the event, but was forced to admit the blatant failure on-air, saying the protest was nothing like “what we saw with the healthcare law.”
“These protests have never been like what we saw with the healthcare law. This particular protest was supposed to start at three, it was supposed to feature Nancy Pelosi, and it’s supposed to have hundreds of people, and none of those things are going to end up being true,” the journalist added.
Earlier this month, Pelosi infamously referred to the new GOP legislation as the end-of-the-world, saying the bill would bring about “Armageddon” for average Americans.
“This is Armageddon. This is a very big deal,” said the House Minority Leader. “Because you know why? There’s really a very hard way to come back from this. They take us farther, more deeply into debt. What can you do but raise taxes?”

PELOSI FLIPS: Nancy Turns on 'Unacceptable' John Conyers
On the heels of a disastrous interview in which former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi defended embattled democratic lawmaker John Conyers, the House Minority Leader is now changing her tune; saying she believes his accusers and calling his behavior “unacceptable.”
Pelosi came under fire from both Democrats and Republicans on Monday, following an appearance on NBC’s ‘Meet the Press’ where the liberal lawmaker wouldn’t say if she “believed” Rep. John Conyers’ accusers.
The House Minority Leader released an official statement shortly after, slamming her Democratic colleague and saying she was deeply “disappointed” by his actions.
“This afternoon, I spoke with Melanie Sloan who worked for Congressman Conyers on the Judiciary Committee in the mid-1990s. Ms. Sloan told me that she had publicly discussed distressing experiences while on his staff. I find the behavior Ms. Sloan described unacceptable and disappointing. I believe what Ms. Sloan has told me,” says the statement.
“I have not had the opportunity to speak with the other women, one of whom cannot speak publicly because of the secretive settlement process in place. That ridiculous system must be ended and victims who want to come forward to the Ethics Committee must be able to do so,” she added.

Pelosi Says ‘God Is With’ Democrats on DACA
Former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi believes liberal lawmakers have the moral high ground on the ongoing immigration debate in the United States, strangely suggesting that “God is with” the Democratic Party regarding DACA and Dreamers.
The House Minority Leader was addressing reporters on Thursday when she was asked if she’d be willing to accept border wall funding or a crackdown on illegal immigration to reach a deal with President Trump on DACA.
“Have you changed your mind at all about being willing to accept some border wall funding or immigration crackdown funding within a DREAM Act fix?” asked one journalist.
“We’ve said to the president the night he agreed to the DACA legislation that we have a responsibility to protect our border, and we find — think are many things we can do working together to do that. And members have been working in a bipartisan way to address that,” said Pelosi.
“But I’m optimistic. I always have been. God is with us on this. Our country is great. We know their greatness springs from the vitality that newcomers bring to our country. 80 percent at least of the American people support the DREAMers,” she added.
