PAM'S PROMISE: AG Bondi Says DOJ Won't Let a Progressive DA Handle Charlotte Stabbing Case [WATCH]

During Tuesday night’s Hannity, Attorney General Pam Bondi told Fox News host Sean Hannity that the DOJ would seek the maximum penalty for the suspect accused of brutally stabbing a Ukrainian refugee in North Carolina.

Bondi also pledged to prevent a progressive DA from handling the case.

“We are going to prosecute him to the fullest extent of the law,” Bondi said. “Progressive DAs cannot handle this case. The progressive DA in Charlotte is Spencer Merriweather. He believed in letting (accused murderer Decarlos Brown Jr.) sign a written promise to appear. He participated in passing that — agreeing to let criminal defendants sign a written promise to appear in court.”

“Weeks later, [Decarlos Brown Jr.] murdered Iryna.”

“He has fourteen prior arrests. He had been to prison before for assaulting someone and robbing with a firearm. He had three assaults, one on a woman, not charged, yet he made multiple 911 calls again, got arrested, and was told to appear because he signed a written promise to appear in court.”

“If he were in custody, she would be alive today,” Bondi added.

Hannity asked Bondi if there is anything that can be done to hold judges accountable for making deadly decisions.

“Don’t elect them,” Bondi said.
