PAIN IN THE BASS! Tom Cotton Blasts Los Angeles Mayor, Won't Let LAPD Do Its Job [WATCH]

Arkansas Senator Tom Cotton joined Sean Hannity Wednesday night to discuss the ongoing anti-ICE riots popping up in major cities nationwide.

Cotton and Hannity zeroed in on Los Angeles, criticizing Mayor Karen Bass and Governor Gavin Newsom for taking a dangerous, anti-ICE stance and for handcuffing law enforcement officers, allowing violent protesters and criminals to roam free.

“Joe Biden presided over a slow-motion invasion of our country for four years, with millions of illegal aliens, many violent gang members, comvicted murderers and rapists coming into our country,” Cotton began.

Now, it’s chaos in the City of Angeles.

“You have masked, violent illegal aliens standing on burning cars and waving foreign flags — law enforcement officers being attacked with frozen water bottles and fireworks. It was so bad that the Los Angeles police chief said they were overwhelmed,” Cotton continued.

“That’s the exact circumstances where you’d expect the governor to step in with the National Guard! But because Gavin Newsom is somehow both ideological and incompetent, President Trump had to take responsibility, federalize the Guard, which is his legal authority to do so, and ensure that the law is going to be enforced in Los Angeles,” Cotton added.

Cotton also took a jab at Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass after Hannity explained that sanctuary laws in LA mean law enforcement has its hands tied when it comes to taking dangerous, illegal migrant criminals off the street.

Law enforcement cannot:

  • Inquire about immigration status
  • Detain an illegal migrant based on a hold request from ICE
  • Participate in Border Patrol activities
  • Use ICE agents as interpreters

“I feel badly for the Los Angeles police department — they have many brave officers — but they have a Democratic mayor who’s not allowing them to do their job,” Cotton said.
