ORRIN UNLOADS: Sen. Hatch SLAMS Dianne Feinstein Over Court Complaints

posted by Hannity Staff - 10.16.18

Sen. Orrin Hatch slammed Sen. Dianne Feinstein’s last-minute attempts to derail the confirmation process of dozens of judges Monday night; saying further delay would be wildly “unfair to the nominees” who have already traveled to Washington, DC.

Hatch’s comments come hours after Feinstein blasted the planned hearings; writing “Scheduling a hearing for controversial nominees during a recess when members are unable to attend is unprecedented and further demonstrates Republican efforts to pack the courts.”

“Senate Democrats have sent a letter complaining that they were ‘not consulted’ about a hearing that not only had the ranking member agreed to.. but they had specifically agreed to ‘not to object to the timing of hearings scheduled,’” fired-back Hatch.

Chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee Chuck Grassley unveiled his party’s plan last week to confirm upwards of 40 federal judges before the 2018 midterm elections; setting the stage for an all-out confirmation battle weeks before American voters head to the polls.

FEINSTEIN’S NEXT FIGHT: The Senator Slams Trump’s Plan to ‘STACK THE COURT’

posted by Hannity Staff - 10.12.18

Sen. Dianne Feinstein settled on her next fight against the Trump administration Thursday night; slamming the White House for planning to “stack” the 9th Circuit Court without “consulting” her office.

Feinstein unloaded on the Trump administration hours after the Senate Judiciary Committee unveiled their plan to confirm upwards of 40 judges ahead of the 2018 midterm elections.

“The decision to move forward on 9th Circuit nominees without consultation or responding to my acceptance of the White House’s offer reflects President Trump’s desire to stack the court. I expect my blue slips to be honored as I was acting in good faith,” posted the liberal leader.

Just days earlier, Feinstein issued another “demand” from the White House; this time requesting information regarding the administration’s decision to include citizenship status on the upcoming 2020 census.

BRAIN FREEZE: Feinstein ‘REGRETS’ Releasing Transcripts, Blames ‘BAD COLD’

posted by Hannity Staff - 1.11.18

Prominent Democratic Senator Dianne Feinstein said this week that she “regrets” publishing congressional interviews with Fusion GPS co-founder Glenn Simpson, saying a “bad cold” may have “slowed down her mental facilities.”

The liberal lawmaker was speaking with NBC News when she pressed to explain her decision to unilaterally release the transcripts without speaking with other members of the Senate Judiciary Committee, mainly Chairman Chuck Grassley.

“The one regret I have is that I should have spoke with Senator Grassley before. And I don’t make an excuse but I’ve had a bad cold and maybe that slowed down my mental facilities a little bit,” said Feinstein.

Sen. Grassley expressed his confusion and outright anger over Feinstein’s decision earlier this week, saying he was “confounded” as to why she would release the transcripts without speaking with other members of the Committee.

President Trump himself weighed-in on the issue on social media Wednesday, blasting “Sneaky Dianne Feinstein” for releasing Congressional testimony in an “underhanded and possibly illegal way.”
