Is Joe quiet quitting the presidency?
During an interview with 60 Minutes over the weekend, President Biden used some unusual language while discussing his intentions for 2024; he says a firm decision “remains to be seen.”
âSir, are you committed to running again, or are there certain conditions that have to be right?â host and interviewer Scott Pelley asked.
âLook, if I were to say to you, Iâm running again, all of a sudden, a whole range of things come into play that I haveâ requirements I have to change and move and do,â Biden responded, noting that election laws played a factor in his answer. âAnd itâs much too early to make that kind of decision. Iâm a great respecter of fate. And so, what Iâm doing is Iâm doing my job. Iâm gonna do that job. And within the timeframe that makes sense after this next election cycle here, going into next year, make a judgment on what to do.â
âYou say that itâs much too early to make that decision,â Pelley responded. âI take it the decision has not been made in your own head.â
âLook, my intention as I said to begin with is that I would run again. But itâs just an intention,â Biden answered. âBut is it a firm decision that I run again? That remains to be seen.â
