Trump's Path to 2024

ON ADVICE OF COUNSEL: Trump Cancels 'Exoneration' Presser, Opts for Formal Legal Filings

Trump is changing track.

According to a post on TRUTH Social, former President and 2024 GOP frontrunner Donald Trump has decided against holding an event next week to reveal evidence that would exonerate him in the Georgia election indictment.

Trump originally promised a “Large, Complex, Detailed but Irrefutable REPORT on the Presidential Election Fraud which took place in Georgia.”

Trump’s lawyers have asked that he proceed via proper legal channels, instead.

“Rather than releasing the Report on the Rigged & Stolen Georgia 2020 Presidential Election on Monday, my lawyers would prefer putting this, I believe, Irrefutable & Overwhelming evidence of Election Fraud & Irregularities in formal Legal Filings as we fight to dismiss this disgraceful Indictment,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social media site Thursday in announcing the cancelation.

From Breitbart News:

Trump had announced he would be holding the event hours after a Georgia grand jury voted to charge him and others late Monday in what they allege was a sweeping conspiracy to illegally overturn the results of the 2020 election and stop the transition of power.

The first former president in U.S. history to be indicted, Trump is also facing criminal charges in Florida over his handling of classified documents and his alleged efforts to obstruct the investigation, as well as in New York in connection to hush money payments allegedly made to women during his 2016 campaign.
