NOT A JOKE: AOC Says She Demanded ‘Swearing-In’ Because Republicans Accuse Her of ‘Lying’

posted by Hannity Staff - 7.12.19

Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez defended her demand to be sworn-in during a public hearing Friday; saying she requested the strange procedure because Republicans “state that she’s lying” about border security.

“GOP has been stating that I am lying about the translated accounts of migrants at the border, particularly about the fact that women were drinking out of a toilet bowl. Committee staff conferred with me ahead of time about requesting to be sworn in,” confirmed AOC on Twitter.

Original Story:

In an unusual and bizarre move, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez demanded she be sworn-in during a Congressional hearing on border security Friday; leaving Chairman Elijah Cummings confused before the entire committee.

“Mr. Chair, I would like to be sworn in,” said Rep. Ocasio-Cortez.

“I’m sorry?” asked Rep. Cummings.

“I would like to be sworn in,” she repeated.

“We usually don’t require a swearing in, but you want to be sworn in?” asked Cummings again.

“Yes,” demanded Ocasio-Cortez.

“Alright, ummmm. Ok,” said the Chair.

NOT A DRILL: AOC Discovers Her Own ‘Terrifying’ Garbage Disposal, Says ‘I Don’t Know What It’s For’

Controversial Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez continued to raise eyebrows across the country this week; posting a bizarre video where she discovers her apartment’s “terrifying” garbage disposal.

“I am told this is a garbage disposal. I’ve never seen a garbage disposal, I’ve never had one in any place I’ve ever lived. It is terrifying, I don’t know what to use it for, or what its purpose is. Like, food scraps? Is this environmentally sound? I don’t know,” said Ocasio-Cortez.

The Congresswoman’s comments come days after she was amazed by her own community garden; saying that “food comes from the dirt” like “magic.”

NOT A DRILL: AOC Publishes the ‘5 Principles’ of Her ‘Green New Deal’ That NO ONE Voted For

posted by Hannity Staff - 5.28.19

Embattled Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez doubled-down on her ‘Green New Deal’ this Memorial Day weekend; publishing the legislation’s “five principles” months after the bill failed to secure a single vote.

“5 Principles in the Green New Deal: 1. Go Big 2. Be Specific 3. Set Deadlines 4. Let Them Sue (aka, “Don’t Flinch”) 5. Make Floors, Not Ceilings,” posted Ocasio-Cortez on social media.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell called AOC’s ‘New Deal’ to a full Senate vote months ago; where it failed to secure a single “Yes” vote despite receiving widespread support from a handful of Democratic presidential hopefuls.

Three Senators -Joe Manchin, Kyrsten Sinema, and Independent Angus King- joined Republicans in voting against the measure as all other Democrats voted “present.”

“Because I encouraged them to vote present, along w/ others. McConnell tried to rush the #GreenNewDeal straight to the floor without a hearing. The real question we should be asking: Why does the Senate GOP refuse to hold any major hearings on climate change?” tweeted Ocasio-Cortez after the lop-sided vote.

“This should not be a partisan issue,” said the Democratic-Socialist lawmaker. “This is about our constituents and all of their lives.”

Despite the vote disaster, Ocasio-Cortez routinely calls the legislation a “success.”

“The #GreenNewDeal, as much as GOP hiss, scream, storytell & cry about it, has forced even the most entrenched Tea Partiers into publicly abandoning their climate denial stance. The reason they’re so focused on discrediting the GND is because it’s a winning policy,” posted Ocasio-Cortez on social media.
