During his recent interview with TIME Magazine, President Biden claimed that America’s enemies — Russia, China, etc. — are hoping Donald Trump wins the election. Biden also said there are reports that China is meddling in U.S. elections.
Biden made the comment when asked if he’d seen evidence of China using AI to interfere in America’s election process.
“There, there, there, there is evidence that meddling is going on,” Biden said according to a Time transcript of a May 28 interview for the story. “I’m not going to get into, I don’t think I should from an intelligence standpoint.”
“I think China would have an interest — let me put it like this — would have an interest in meddling,” the president said. “Everybody, all the bad guys are rooting for Trump, man. Not a joke,” Biden added.

In April, Secretary of State Antony Blinken said the U.S. had seen evidence of Chinese attempts to “influence and arguably interfere” with the election.
“We have seen, generally speaking, evidence of attempts to influence and arguably interfere, and we want to make sure that that’s cut off as quickly as possible,” Blinken said.
Blinken did not specify who the “bad guys” were “rooting for.”
“We are the world power.”
