Controversial Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez left millions of followers scratching their heads over the weekend after she accused social media of causing “moral erosion” by posting the message on social media.
“The holy grail of many social platforms is ‘engagement.’ Bigotry + disinformation campaigns are often the most ‘engaging” (& rewarded) due to their inflammatory nature. Some, like Pinterest+Reddit, at least TRY to address this. Others decide profit is worth the social erosion,” posted AOC on Twitter.
“Even from a ‘market competition’ perspective, it’s a bad long-term strategy. The reason young people are leaving Facebook in droves is bc its unchecked toxicity makes it an awful place to be. Think abt this as Big Tech lobbies for monopoly power to prevent mkt competition,” she added.

Ocasio-Cortez doubled-down on her ‘Green New Deal’ just last week; bizarrely suggesting the massive federal program would somehow prevent Midwest tornadoes and flooding.
“Homeowners are now learning an ugly truth: Their homeowner’s policy doesn’t cover water damage like this. That requires a specific federal flood insurance policy. This is terrible. We need AOC’s Green New Deal Now,” posted Justice Democrats on social media.
Ocasio-Cortez retweeted the message.

AOC’s comments come just one day after she posted the ‘Five Principles’ for the New Deal; failing to mention the legislation didn’t receive a single vote in the US Senate.
“5 Principles in the Green New Deal: 1. Go Big 2. Be Specific 3. Set Deadlines 4. Let Them Sue (aka, “Don’t Flinch”) 5. Make Floors, Not Ceilings,” posted Ocasio-Cortez on social media.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell called AOC’s ‘New Deal’ to a full Senate vote months ago; where it failed to secure a single “Yes” vote despite receiving widespread support from a handful of Democratic presidential hopefuls.
Three Senators -Joe Manchin, Kyrsten Sinema, and Independent Angus King- joined Republicans in voting against the measure as all other Democrats voted “present.”
NOT A DRILL: AOC Discovers Her Own ‘Terrifying’ Garbage Disposal, Says ‘I Don’t Know What It’s For’
Controversial Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez continued to raise eyebrows across the country this week; posting a bizarre video where she discovers her apartment’s “terrifying” garbage disposal.
Seriously, how is @AOC qualified to be in Congress she can’t figure out what a garbage disposal is? @realDailyWire @benshapiro @michaeljknowles pic.twitter.com/8ImIhUeUr6

“I am told this is a garbage disposal. I’ve never seen a garbage disposal, I’ve never had one in any place I’ve ever lived. It is terrifying, I don’t know what to use it for, or what its purpose is. Like, food scraps? Is this environmentally sound? I don’t know,” said Ocasio-Cortez.

The Congresswoman’s comments come days after she was amazed by her own community garden; saying that “food comes from the dirt” like “magic.”
NOT A DRILL: AOC Supports Strike Against Uber and Lyft… To ‘Help the Drivers Feed Their Families’
Controversial Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez called for a “day of action” against Uber and Lyft Wednesday; strangely saying the strike can “help all the drivers you’ve met get paid more to feed their families.”
“Labor, labor – read all about it! Your Direct Action for today: Don’t take an Uber or Lyft just for the day. (Just today! Cabs are fine! You can do it!) It’s a small but big way you can help all the drivers you’ve met get paid more to feed their families + support themselves,” posted Ocasio-Cortez on social media.

Users on social media were quick to point out the blaring contradiction, saying “What about the Uber and Lyft drivers who are out there working today because they need to put food on the table?”
