It’s Newsom’s California — is anyone surprised?
This week, a new Deputy AG was confirmed to lead the DOJ’s new anti-fraud division, in the wake of independent journalist Nick Shirley’s bombshell investigations into waste and fraud in Minnesota and California.
House Oversight Chair James Comer says his committee has also joined the investigation.
“You can multiply what we found in Minnesota probably by 10 in California — that’s how bad it is,” Comer told Sean Hannity during Tuesday night’s Hannity. “What we’re hoping in this investigation is we have whistleblowers come forward just like we did in Minnesota…What we know in California…in hospice fraud alone, 3.5 billion dollars, just in Los Angeles County.”
“The whole hospice budget for the United States last year, 18% of the billing was in Los Angeles County. And that’s not 18% of the population of the United States of America,” Comer added. “It is rampant in California, and Gavin Newsom knew it and hasn’t done a thing about it.”
Comer says he would like to bring Newsom in for questioning.
“Gavin Newsom better lawyer up.”
