'NAZI JOE HAS GOT TO GO': Republicans React to Biden's Fiery, MAGA-Bashing Speech

President Biden’s Thursday night speech from Independence National Historical Park in Philadelphia, PA last night was universally panned by members of the GOP as divisive; some even called for his impeachment.

In remarks that, according to the White House, were not meant to be political, Biden mentioned Trump by name three times and his MAGA — or Make America Great Again — political movement 12 times.

“MAGA Republicans have made their choice. They embrace anger. They thrive on chaos. They live not in the light of truth, but in the shadow of lies. Together, we can choose a different path,” Biden said.

Prominent GOP voices reacted to the divisive rhetoric immediately on Twitter.

“Tonight, Joe Biden vilified millions of Americans in a divisive & angry speech that was detached from the reality of his political failures. He isn’t actually interested in restoring the soul of the nation, he’s only interested in pitting his fellow Americans against one another,” Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) tweeted.

“They chose this imagery. It’s unreal. Joe Biden is Hitler. #NaziJoe has to go,” tweeted Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene.

“Joe Biden’s hate-filled and menacing rhetoric tonight was disgraceful. His behavior is increasingly erratic. And his threats against half the country – his fellow citizens – are dangerous,” said Senator Josh Hawley.

“Biden is talking about “our better angels” in a speech that calls half the country a threat to America. Just incredible,” tweeted Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR).

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (D-CA) called for an apology.

“Instead of trying to bring our country together to solve the MANY problems he has created, President Biden has chosen to divide, demean, and disparage his fellow Americans—simply because they disagree with his policies. Mr. President: you owe millions of Americans an apology.”

Minority Whip Steve Scalise called the speech “shameful.”
