Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi publicly admitted there was an escalating “crisis” at the US-Mexico border this week; saying a “humanitarian crisis” was taking place but blaming the Trump administration for “provoking” the disaster.
“We’ve never not said that there was a crisis. There is a humanitarian crisis at the border. And some of it provoked by the actions taken by the administration and… I’ll just quote our friends from the Evangelical community when they came in and testified in the last Congress in one of our rump hearings because the Republicans wouldn’t have the hearing,” said Pelosi during an interview on Satellite Radio.
“We will hopefully work together in a bipartisan way to address this. But, yes, it is a crisis…” she added.

Pelosi’s comments are drastically different from her rhetoric just months ago after President Trump declared a “national emergency” at the US-Mexico border.
“The President’s unlawful declaration over a crisis that does not exist does great violence to our Constitution and makes America less safe, stealing from urgently needed defense funds for the security of our military and our nation,” said a joint statement released by Pelosi and Schumer’s office.
“There. Is. No. Crisis. At. The. Border,” posted the official Twitter account of the Democratic Party.

APOCALYPSE NOW: Pelosi Says US in ‘Constitutional Crisis,’ Claims AG Barr Violating ‘Oath of Office’
Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi threw her full support behind Judiciary Chair Jerrold Nadler Thursday; saying the United States is currently in a “constitutional crisis” hours after the Attorney General was found “in contempt” by his committee.

“Do you agree with Chairman Nadler that the country is currently in a Constitutional crisis?” asked one reporter during Pelosi’s weekly press briefing.
“Yes, I do agree with Chairman Nadler. The administration has decided that they’re not going to honor their oath of office. He’s staked out, because he has seen so much of the committee work. I’m very proud of the Judiciary Committee,” said Pelosi.
“When we’re ready, we’ll come to the floor. And we’ll see, there may be some other issues that we’ll want to deal with at the same time,” she added.
ARMAGEDDON AGAIN: Pelosi Warns of a ‘CONSTITUTIONAL CRISIS’ Over FISA Memo
Former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi continued her all-out war against the House Intelligence Committee and President Trump Friday afternoon, telling reporters the President will spark a “constitutional crisis” should he use the recently released FISA memo to fire Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein.
Pelosi addressed reporters just hours after Congressional leaders publicly disclosed the four-page document; showing the debunked ‘Trump Dossier’ was used by the FBI and DOJ to secure FISA warrants to spy on “at least one” senior Trump aide.
“With the memo… [Trump] has abdicated his responsibilities as Commander-in Chief to protect the American people by protecting our intelligence sources and the rest,” Pelosi told CBS News.
“If the President uses this fake, horrible release of distorted intelligence as an excuse to fire [Deputy Attorney General Rod] Rosenstein or [special counsel Robert] Mueller, it could lead to a constitutional crisis.”
The House Minority Leader’s fiery rhetoric comes on the heels of her official statement regarding the memo, where she bizarrely referred to the de-classified material as a “bouquet” from President Trump to Vladimir Putin.
