As Congressman Adam Schiff plans to wind-down his Intelligence Committee’s public impeachment hearings within the coming days, the Democrats’ latest effort to remove President Trump will soon shift to Rep. Jerrold Nadler’s Judiciary panel.
“Nadler, a scrappy Democratic veteran of New York’s and Washington’s political wars, will be back in the spin cycle and up to his elbows in hot water. He will find himself tested—not only by comparisons with Schiff, whose performance Democrats have praised, but also by his own committee, which is far more fractious and unruly than the California Democrat’s,” reports the Atlantic.
“Nadler assumed chairmanship of the committee when Democrats took control of the House in January, and despite his long alliance with Speaker Nancy Pelosi, their relations have sometimes seemed strained in the months since,” adds the website.
Schiff: Chairman Nadler and the Members and staff of the Judiciary Committee will proceed in the next phase of the impeachment inquiry. I urge all members to find guidance from our oath of office to protect and defend the Constitution.

'FANTASY ISLAND': Doug Collins RIPS Nadler to His Face, Says Dems ‘Lost in Impeachment Oz’
GOP Rep. Doug Collins slammed Congressman Jerrold Nadler during fiery hearings on Capitol Hill Thursday; saying House Democrats are “lost in impeachment Oz” and are unable to “find their way out of the mess.”
“Today’s ambiguity is a product of the chairman’s own making because there is an easy way to know exactly whether this committee is in #impeachment proceedings: It’s called a vote. A vote of the full House of Representatives,” posted Collins on social media.
“Democrats followed the yellow brick road, and now they’re fully lost in impeachment Oz—try as they might, they can’t find their way out of the mess they’ve made because they think ‘words don’t matter,’” he added.

House Democrats voted Thursday to officially unveil their “guidelines” surrounding an investigation into whether they will recommend filing articles of impeachment against President Trump.
The proposal left most lawmakers -including many Democrats- confused and bewildered as to what the resolution actually means.
“Some call this process an impeachment inquiry. Some call it an impeachment investigation. There is no legal difference between these terms, and I no longer care to argue about the nomenclature,” Nadler said as he opened the hearing. “But let me clear up any remaining doubt: The conduct under investigation poses a threat to our democracy. We have an obligation to respond to this threat. And we are doing so.”
GOP Rep. Doug Collins slammed Nadler’s inquiry, saying his Committee has “become a giant Instagram filter … it’s put in there to look like something, but it’s really not.”
“My colleagues know very well they don’t have the votes to authorize impeachment proceedings on the House floor, but they want to impeach the president anyway,” Collins said. “So, they are pretending to initiate impeachment.”
“Under these procedures, when we have finished these hearings and considered as much evidence we are able to gather, we will decide whether to refer articles of impeachment to the House floor,” Nadler said in his opening statement.
BREAKING: Rep. Jerrold Nadler Nearly ‘Passes Out’ at Bill de Blasio Press Conference
Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee Jerrold Nadler nearly fainted at a press conference alongside New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio Friday; prompting staff and top aides to rush to the politician’s side.
“Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee Jerry Nadler appeared weak and on the verge of passing out at a presser held by Mayor Bill de Blasio Friday morning,” reports NBC New York. “Video from the press conference at P.S. 199 shows de Blasio and others coming to Nadler’s aid offering water and asking him if he was OK.”
“During one point in the press conference, held to discuss expanding school zone cameras, you can hear de Blasio offering water to Nadler and telling him that he looked a little dehydrated,” adds the article. “When de Blasio asks Nadler if he was OK, Nadler can be heard responding with a faint ‘no’ before putting his hand over his face.”

The incident comes as Nadler continues to demand Attorney General William Barr appear before his committee over Robert Mueller’s Russia report.
“The Trump administration, and its enablers, may brazenly try to cover up the misdeeds uncovered by the special counsel,” said chair Jerrold Nadler, “but on this committee we will represent the American people and ensure the truth is known.”
“Our fight is not just about the Mueller report — although we must have access to the Mueller report,” Nadler said. “Our fight is about defending the rights of Congress, as an independent branch, to hold the president accountable.”
“We will have no choice but to move quickly to hold the attorney general in contempt if he stalls or fails to negotiate in good faith,” Nadler added. “But the attorney general must make a choice. Every one of us must make the same choice. That choice is now an obligation of our office.”
