During Wednesday’s Cabinet meeting, DOGE head Elon Musk complimented Trump 2.0, calling it possibly one of the greatest administrations since the country’s founding.
“The American people voted for secure borders, safe cities, and sensible spending, and that’s what they have gotten. A tremendous amount has been accomplished in the first 100 days,” Musk said, adding later, “This portends very well for what happens for the rest of the administration. I think this could be the greatest administration since the founding of the country.”
Trump also admitted Musk “sacrificed a lot” and has been “treated very unfairly,” to which Musk replied that people burning his cars is “not great.”

Musk also lightened the mood by doubling up on his hats; “Mr. President, you know they say I wear a lot of hats. Even my hat has a hat!”

After helping Trump win the election last year, Musk launched the DOGE initiative to cut $1 trillion in federal waste, fraud, and abuse. DOGE’s website reports “estimated savings” of $160 billion from budget and job cuts across multiple agencies.
Musk’s role in DOGE sparked controversy, triggering protests at Tesla facilities both domestically and internationally. The FBI reports incidents of vandalism, arson, and gunfire related to these protests, resulting in several arrests and criminal charges.
