MUSICAL SALUTE: Charlie Daniels Jr Celebrates His Father with Volunteer Jam, New Podcast

Charlie Daniels Jr. is honoring his legendary father with an all-star ‘Volunteer Jam’ in August as well as a hit new podcast featuring the music of Charlie Daniels and other hitmakers.

The concert will be held August 18th at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena and includes performances by  Alabama, The Marshall Tucker Band, Ricky Skaggs, Chris Young, Randy Travis, Lorrie Morgan, Michael W. Smith, Big & Rich, CeCe Winans, Gretchen Wilson, Jenny Tolman, Travis Denning, Johnny Lee, Rhett Akins, The SteelDrivers, and many more. Daniels’ longtime band, The Charlie Daniels Band, will also perform to honor its late frontman.

NEVER FORGOTTEN: Country Music Legend Charlie Daniels Passes Away at 83

Charlie Daniels, Father, Friend and Follower of Christ, Patriot, and Rock Star – today we lost a legend. 10.28.36 – 07.06.20, we will never forget him.

The Country Music Hall of Fame and Grand Ole Opry member died this morning at Summit Medical Center in Hermitage, Tennessee. Doctors determined the cause of death was a hemorrhagic stroke. He was 83.

Funeral arrangements will be announced in the coming days.

Daniels was born in Wilmington, North Carolina; raised on blue-grass, country, and gospel music at a young age. He graduated from high school in 1955 as a gifted playor on guitar, fiddle, banjo, and mandolin
