Vice President Kamala Harris stopped by Saturday Night Live over the weekend to participate in a sketch that is strikingly similar to a Donald Trump sketch from 2015.
Harris appears in a mirror talking to Maya Rudolph, who plays Harris on the show.
From The New York Post:
Viewers were quick to point out how the skit was virtually identical to Trump’s sketch on Jimmy Fallon’s “The Tonight Show” when he was running for president in 2015.
Fallon, who made his name on SNL, portrayed Trump talking to a mirror — with the real estate mogul on the other side, identical to Harris’ skit Saturday.
“Kamala ripped off the same bit Trump …and Trump’s was double the length,” radio host Ari Hoffman scoffed on X.
“Kamala on SNL can’t even be ORIGINAL… had to plagiarize Trump and his much funnier skit. She’s soooo CRINGE,” another user commented.
SNL viewers also pointed out the parallels between Harris’ last-minute bid for public affection and Hillary Clinton’s own stints on the show in 2008 and 2016.
Clinton was gunning for the Democratic nomination 16 years ago when she did her first SNL spot next to Amy Poehler, who spoofed the former first lady’s trademark cackle — just as SNL did Saturday with Harris.
In the skit, Clinton wondered “do I really laugh like that?” – a gag that was repeated nearly word-for-word during Harris’ appearance.
“SNL writers must be as lazy as everyone thinks they are,” one viewer noted of the joke.

Harris’ appearance also drew criticism for violating the FCC’s Equal Time rule — NBC filed an Equal Time notice with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) late Sunday following the backlash, disclosing Harris “SNL” appearance after the network was accused of violating the longstanding rule.
NBC on Sunday had to air an ad for President Trump during NASCAR’s post-race show per FCC mandate to give equal airtime to his campaign after SNL had Kamala Harris on Saturday.
Trump’s message is clear, Kamala broke America, he’ll fix it.
