MINNESOTA MAYHEM: Antifa, Rioters Descend on Twin Cities After Fatal Police Shooting

posted by Hannity Staff - 4.14.21

Self-identified members of the ‘Antifa’ movement arrived in the Minneapolis area Tuesday evening for another night of chaos following a fatal police shooting in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota.

“I can tell you this. The makeup of the population out here certainly changed tonight. I think Sunday night it was all about the locals that were here: They were genuine and angry,” said Fox News correspondent Mike Tobin.

“As it goes on, you get more people coming in from out of town. I had several people that I spoke with who identified themselves as Antifa — and angrily so. So you had that crowd out here.”

“We saw an increased number of kids ‘wearing the uniform’ if you will, the black hoodies, the backpacks. I saw leaf-blowers out there, different kinds of … makeshift shields and things. It was changing dramatically in terms of the makeup, and certainly the numbers of the crowd.”

“Yeah, they say they won’t tolerate looting and violence but there’s still looting and violence,” Tobin added. “Then you had the [Brooklyn Center] Mayor Mike Elliott suggest, as you noted, that if there was a curfew and it to be enforced — it sounded like what he was saying you’re drawing a line in the sand — and that it gives them something to defy and it creates a dynamic, he said, an excuse for more arrests.”

CHAOS NIGHT 2: Minnesota Police Attacked by Rioters after Shooting, Dozens Arrested, Injuries Reported

posted by Hannity Staff - 4.13.21

Minneapolis witnessed a second night of clashes between police and rioters Monday evening following the death of 20-year-old Daunte Wright just miles away.

“Hundreds gathered outside the Brooklyn Center Police Department Monday and defied curfew. They demanded justice for Daunte Wright, a 20-year-old Black man fatally shot by police during a traffic stop,” reports Fox News.

“Authorities fired tear gas, and flash-bang grenades into the crowd after warning them that they were in violation of curfew. Some rioters retaliated by throwing smoke canisters back toward law enforcement, while others launched fireworks at the police lines, according to reports,” adds Fox.

“Move back!” the police chanted. “Hands up! Don’t shoot!” the crowd yelled back.

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz imposed a 7PM curfew for Minneapolis Monday afternoon; deploying the National Guard to impose law and order.

“Prayers are not enough,” tweeted Vice President Kamala Harris. “Daunte Wright should still be with us. While an investigation is underway, our nation needs justice and healing, and Daunte’s family needs to know why their child is dead—they deserve answers.”

“It wasn’t an accident. Policing in our country is inherently & intentionally racist. Daunte Wright was met with aggression & violence. I am done with those who condone government funded murder. No more policing, incarceration, and militarization. It can’t be reformed,” wrote the far-left lawmaker on social media.
