MEDIA ON TRIAL: Erika Kirk Rips Press, Jimmy Kimmel After White House Dinner Attack [WATCH]

Turning Point USA CEO Erika Kirk, who took over the organization after the killing of her husband Charlie Kirk last year, is warning of what she’s calling a “serious epidemic of dehumanization” in America.

“We are all human beings,” she said during an opening monologue on “The Charlie Kirk Show.” “How would you feel if… someone made cruel jokes about the attempted murder of your loved one?”

Kirk directed criticism at late-night host Jimmy Kimmel, accusing him of mocking violence against the First Lady — a claim Kimmel has denied.

“It seems to me that nothing will ever be enough for the evil in this world,” she said. “Our country has become unrecognizable.”

Her remarks came just days after a violent incident at the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner, where authorities say Cole Tomas Allen attempted to breach security while armed.

Prosecutors have charged Allen, 31, with attempting to assassinate the president, transporting a firearm across state lines and discharging a weapon during a crime of violence.

Kirk described the moment gunfire erupted as “utter chaos,” saying attendees had no clear sense of the threat.

“If you were in that room, you had no way of knowing what the status of the shooter was,” she said. “It was just chaos.”

She also sharply criticized journalists present at the event, accusing some of focusing on capturing footage rather than reacting to the danger.

“They were so concerned about getting a video… they could have quite literally filmed themselves being shot,” Kirk said, arguing that the instinct to document the moment overrode basic safety.

Kirk said she attended the event in part to confront media figures directly.

“Why have a conversation about me when you can have a conversation with me?” she said.

Despite her criticism, she noted the event initially carried an “all-American” atmosphere before the panic unfolded.

Kirk also linked the incident to broader concerns about political rhetoric and radicalization, arguing that domestic extremism poses a growing threat.

“While we may have big problems with illegal immigration in this country, I have to tell you we have an even bigger problem when it comes to the systemic indoctrination and radicalization of our own citizens,” Kirk said.

“This is what got my husband killed. This is what has led to three legitimate attempts on President Trump’s life,” she added. “I can speak firsthand to that unbearable toll that this must take on our first lady.”

Kirk circled back to Kimmel to address his FLOTUS comments. Kimmel joked that Melania Trump had the glow of an “expectant widow,” prompting Trump and the First Lady to call for his firing.

Kimmel has not apologized.

Kirk was not amused.

“The ‘glow of an expectant widow,’ just 48 hours before that nightmare almost became a reality. In this culture we’re living in, [it] absorbs disagreement as a form of personal betrayal, it turns having an opposing viewpoint into a moral crime worthy of punishment,” Kirk said.
