CBS News is considering a new round of layoffs that could cut at least 15% of its staff, according to a Variety report cited by Reuters.
The planned downsizing would be part of broader cost-cutting and restructuring underway at parent company Paramount Skydance, with timing discussed as early as March or later in the spring, including May, depending on how internal plans unfold.
Variety reported the discussions remain fluid; Reuters reported CBS News declined to make executives available for comment.
The Post was first to report earlier this week that 11 producers tied to the “CBS Evening News” have already opted to take buyout packages offered last month.
