MEDIA MALPRACTICE: GOP Fumes Over Biden Cover Up, Calls for Probe Into Media, Big Tech Collusion

posted by Hannity Staff - 3.18.22

Congressman Darrell Issa (R-CA) is calling for a Congressional probe to uncover just how the corporate media and Big Tech colluded to keep the Hunter Biden laptop story off the mainstream radar. Earlier this week, The New York Times finally reported on the laptop —2 years after the story first broke.

“Tonight, I’m calling for a Congressional investigation into how big tech, mainstream media, and the Democrat industrial complex colluded to suppress the Hunter Biden scandals — and during the last days of the 2020 election,” Rep. Issa tweeted.

The New York Post first reported the story in October 2020, but it didn’t exactly pan out into the October Surprise conservative media outlets thought it would.

“The laptop’s hard drive contained a trove of emails, text messages, photos and financial documents between Hunter Biden, his family and business associates — detailing how the president’s son used his political leverage in his overseas business dealings,” the Post reported at the time.

Instead of the story being picked up by the mainstream media, they went into overdrive trying to bury it —even going as far as trying to link it to Russian intelligence.

Issa isn’t the only member of Congress outraged over the coverup —Florida Senator Rick Scott shared the following on Twitter:

“Today, the @nytimes confirmed what many of us already knew: the Democrats and their allies in media and Big Tech conspired to cover up the Hunter Biden story to help @JoeBiden win a presidential election.”

Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) also weighed in, sharing the following:

“Now that the New York Times has even confirmed the Hunter Biden laptop’s veracity, can we begin to admit that Joe Biden is, by definition, a compromised politician?”
