According to a New York Post report, a Chicago woman is accused of unleashing a profane tirade against federal immigration officers during a raid Sunday morning on the city’s West Side — allegedly threatening to kill agents and their families.
Joshalin Rivera allegedly shouted at an ICE agent, “I hope your kid dies a f–king miserable death … your f–king kid needs to get shot in the f–king face,” according to a criminal complaint. She also threatened to “pop both of they ass … right in their f–king face,” as ICE and Border Patrol agents made arrests at an apartment building.
Rivera was among a group of bystanders who confronted the agents at the building’s entrance, the filing says. After officers moved inside, Rivera allegedly threatened further violence, saying she would smash windows. Moments later, a brick was thrown through the windshield of a Border Patrol vehicle, shattering the glass.
It remains unclear who authorities were attempting to detain during the operation.
When authorities demanded to know who was responsible, at least two people allegedly pointed to Rivera.
As the feds tried to cuff her, Rivera allegedly pulled at an officer’s neck and grabbed another agent’s “vest in the direction of her firearm,” the complaint charges.
