Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) says that as the one global superpower, the United States should not be dependent on countries like Iran and Venezuela for energy.
“It’s senseless to risk our energy security and reliability by depending on immoral actors like Iran and Venezuela to produce for us,” Manchin shared on Twitter along with a clip of his appearance on Morning Joe. “Instead, the federal gov’t must encourage – not inhibit – responsible oil and gas production to keep America and our allies safe and secure.”
