Absolutely brutal.
South Carolina Rep. Nancy Mace unloaded on sanctuary city mayors Eric Adams, Denver Mayor Michael Johnston, Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson, and Boston Mayor Michelle Wu during a House Oversight Committee hearing on Wednesday.
“You all have blood on your hands,” Mace started, before trying to get “yes” or “no” answers from the sanctuary city mayors.
Mace’s questions included:
“Do you acknowledge breaking into our country agains the law?”
“Do you believe it’s acceptable for illegals who commit heinous crimes to be released back into the public instead of being detained and deported?”
“When an illegal alien rapes a woman, do you believe you’re on the right side of history?”
“When an illegal alien molests a kid, do you pat yourself on the back for being compassionate?”
“Would your city horo an ICE detainer on an illegal alien who rapes kids if one was issued today?”
“Do you all hate Donald Trump more than you love your country?”
“Are you all willing to go to jail for violating federal law?”
…and she didn’t like the answers she got.
During one exchange, Mace blasted Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson for having a 6% approval rating and challenged Boston Mayor Wu on recent remarks in which she said “ICE’s efforts threaten the safety of everyone.”
